About
Independent technical assessment, focused on the client
AquaCheck Marine Surveying provides yacht and boat owners and buyers with independent technical assessment and professional survey services. Each inspection is conducted with objectivity, technical accuracy and clear reporting.
Our approach
Technical assessment that starts on site
A disciplined on-site inspection, documented clearly from first observation to final report.
Each survey begins with the vessel itself: its construction, condition, access and the purpose of the inspection. The scope is established before attendance so the on-site work remains systematic, relevant and transparent.
Structure, machinery, onboard systems and safety-related items are examined in a logical sequence. Findings are assessed in context rather than treated as isolated defects, helping distinguish cosmetic issues from matters that may affect safety, reliability or value.
Modern inspection methods support the visual and hands-on survey. Moisture measurements, thermal imaging, electrical testing and inspection cameras are used where appropriate, with readings interpreted against the vessel's construction and observed condition.
The final report records what was observed, how significant findings were supported and where access was limited. Photographs, instrument data and clear limitations make the reasoning traceable even for a client who could not attend the survey.
Recommendations are prioritised so the report supports practical decisions after the inspection. The aim is not to create alarm, but to provide clear technical information that can be used for purchase decisions, maintenance planning or further specialist investigation where required.

Reports are written in clear language, with technical detail included where it is needed to understand a finding or recommendation.
